The immigration process in Australia is controlled by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and all overseas enquiries about working in Australia should be be reffered to that Department.
The University may seek to nominate specific overseas appointees for Permanent Residency under the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). Appointees with ongoing contracts may be nominated for Permanent Resident Status, whilst other fixed-term contracts may only be nominated for Temporary Resident Status, see eligibility for nomination.
