SmartSalary
ECU has engaged a professional salary packaging bureau, SmartSalary, to assist eligible employees to optimise their remuneration by receiving their salary as a combination of cash and tax effective benefits.
Replacing cash salary with ATO approved benefits can enable employees to lower their taxable income to increase their take home pay, depending upon an individual's specific circumstances.
The partnership with SmartSalary commenced in April 2007, primarily to offer a range of salary packaging products including novated vehicles and laptops and ECU intends to keep building the variety of benefit options. SmartSalary's role is to promote packaging opportunities to employees, inform and consult with individual employees about suitable packaging options and administer the packaging arrangements.
